Hi, thanks for visiting. I'm happy to answer any questions you have about DPC Easy.
A little about me: I'm a web developer by trade and have worked professionally for over a decade. I've also been a patient with chronic medical conditions nearly my whole life. My wife is a Family Medicine resident, and several of my immediate family members have spent their careers inside the traditional healthcare system, so I've seen just about every side of American healthcare firsthand.
About four years ago my health took a sharp turn for the worse, and I was pained to suffer through the bureaucracy and unsatisfying level of care my insurance-based providers could offer. Searching desperately for an alternative, I found my first DPC doctor, and I was immensely blessed. Several chronic conditions I had suffered from went into remission in short order and at a relatively small cost, and conditions I wasn't even aware of were caught and cared for proactively.
At the same time, researching what my wife could expect from the traditional career path in Family Medicine left me discouraged. I've also been inspired and mentored by two close family members who spent their careers inside the traditional system and who, each in their own way, systematically innovated to make it work for the people in their care.
All of it led me to the principles of Direct Primary Care: transparency, direct incentives and payment, and direct access to your physician. These are clear answers to a deeply flawed system. On a personal level, I've now seen a DPC physician for three years, and my wife considers DPC a serious option for her own career.
On a grander level, I feel called, and uniquely prepared by God, to help bring Direct Primary Care to the general public: for the doctors who provide the care, for the patients who receive it, and, I genuinely believe, for the country at large, reducing healthcare burdens, freeing up resources, improving outcomes, and raising the level of public health.
As best I can tell, the way to get there is for each practice to deliver an exceptional patient experience. The DPC model already puts physicians in the best possible position to do that. But there's more to running a private practice than the medicine: it takes quality marketing, well-run operations, and good, long-lasting partnerships. And because Direct Primary Care is still new and relatively unknown, it takes educating your leads over a long time horizon.
That's what I hope DPC Easy can be for your practice: your marketing team, a way to make your business easier to run, an educator for your future patients, and your partner.
